Hurricane Policy

Prior to a Storm, Palm Beach Generator Inc. will make all efforts to Secure Jobsites, Complete In-Process Repairs, and Inspect Critical Sites. In-Process Installations will NOT be completed if City Inspections cannot be arranged.

When a Hurricane Watch is issued, Palm Beach Generator will begin Emergency Operations with a limited staff. At this time, No New Service Appointments will be made. All existing Service Appointments for the next 5 business days will be rescheduled.

All operations will cease when:
1) A Hurricane Warning has been issued.
OR 2) Weather is determined to be unsafe for travel/work.

Emergency Operations will resume as soon as safe traveling conditions permit. On-duty Technicians will have a Pre-determined route to inspect critical sites. These Critical Sites include:
1) Life Critical Facilities
2) Communication Critical Sites
3) Gold Service Customers

Immediately after a Storm, Palm Beach Generator Inc. will only service customers with a valid Service Contract. Once it has been determined that the needs of all Service Contract Holders have been addressed, Palm Beach Generator Inc. will begin accepting new customers.

In the event communication lines are down or overloaded, Palm Beach Generator Inc. will maintain an offsite message service. Only messages from Existing Customers will be returned.
